Group Setup Creation and usage of the DropTracker for Groups

Last updated by: koeppy (18 days ago)

There are a few things you'll need before getting started:

  1. Administrator rank in the Discord server you are going to use
  2. A WiseOldMan group, which represents your clan or group.
  3. A Channel you want to send your lootboard to.

Creating a Group

The first thing you'll need to do is grab your WiseOldMan Group ID, if you don't already have it handy. You can find this by searching for your group on their website, and extracting the numeric value from the URL, like so:
https://wiseoldman.net/groups/**1234**, where 1234 is your Group ID.

Then, inside your Discord server, type /create-group, and insert your desired group name and WiseOldMan group ID.
You will be sent a confirmation message, and then a link to the website where you can configure the Discord bot to your liking.

Configuration Walkthrough

Once you are signed in, you'll be able to access your Group Configuration:

At Minimum you are recommended to set up the following:

  • Set the users who can change configurations
  • The Channel you want to post your Lootboard
  • the Minimum Value to send to the Discord
  • Channel you want to send Screenshtos/embeds to

For Additional Details on Configurations check out the Website section of the documentation.

Most of these options should be relatively self-explanatory; there is a drop-down for each channel where you can select your desired option. Should you have any issues loading the group config page or modifying your settings, please feel free to reach out.
